These frequently-asked questions were assembled to help you understand Kayu Arte process. If your question isn’t answered here, please contact us.
The very first step, is to register for a user name and password. Please click on “Wholesale Registration” enter your details. Then use your username and password to see all prices for ALL products on our website.
“How do I place an order?”
“Use the shopping cart to choose your products and quantities. One of our team members will confirm your order by email.”
“What are your payment terms?”
“When your order is confirmed, we will send you a proforma invoice, a 50% deposit is required to begin production. The balance is required upon confirmation that your container is packed and the final invoice is issued.”
“What is the production lead time?”
“Production is normally 4-6 weeks from payment of deposit.”
“Will I be updated on my production?”
“Yes. As communication is important to us, we understand that it is important to you. All clients will receive an update 3-4 weeks after the deposit has been received and further update a finish date of your order.”
“Are your quoted prices all that I pay?”
“All our prices are quoted EX WORKS, So we pass on any charges associated with getting your container loaded on board the sailing vessel according to the value of the shipment.
Under IDR120,000,000 we pass on all FOB charges in full.
Between IDR120,000,000 – IDR180,000,000 we share half charges with you the buyer.
Over IDR180,000,000 we will now consider your shipment FOB, that means Kayu Arte will pay all charges involved with your container on board the sailing vessel.”
“What port do you ship from?”
“We ship from port of Semarang. Please enquire about the surcharge to ship from another port in Indonesia.”
“Do you have a minimum order?”
“We do not have a minimum order per item (Except for some small items, but they are clearly marked with any minimum order requirement) , but we do require a minimum order of 1 x 40’HC container .”
“Do you ship 20′ containers?”
“Yes we can ship a 20′ container but we do find that this is not cost effective, 40′ container is the cheapest way to get goods to you. Remember you need to consider shipping costs, trucking costs etc .”
“How are the goods packed?”
“All furniture is wrapped in single phase cardboard, and wood crates for statues and water fountains, All products are packed as to minimise any risk of damage during shipment of goods.”
